GLEN ROCK, NEW JERSEY, APRIL 5, 2000…

E. Drew Britcher, Armand Leone, Jr. and Mindy M. Roth have announced the formation of their new law firm that unites the professions of medicine and law to help victims of physicians' malpractice and serious personal injury restore their future and the future of their families.

"I know we can't change the quality of healthcare overnight, but we can help rebuild the lives of malpractice victims one family at a time," Britcher said.

Drew Britcher is a Certified Civil Trial Attorney and an officer of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America – New Jersey. He is a member of both the New Jersey and New York bars, and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. He is a published author and noted lecturer on issues of Medical Malpractice and Product Liability. To date, eight appellate decisions involving cases in which Mr. Britcher has served as either Appellate or Amicus counsel have been published. Mr. Britcher has been a recipient of the Professional Achievement Award, given annually by the New Jersey State Bar Association, Young Lawyers Division.

Besides a busy professional schedule, Mr. Britcher has actively participated in Youth Programs run by The American Legion, Boy Scouts and the YMCA. He has also served as a Select Team Soccer Coach, as President of the Morris County Senior Soccer Association, and was a member of the World Cup Host Committee. Mr. Britcher’s service in local, county, state and national political activities reflects his commitment to community.

Armand Leone, Jr. is a physician and Board Certified Diagnostic Radiologist, as well as an attorney. He focuses on the complex issues emerging in medical malpractice, electronic healthcare privacy, products liability, and toxic torts. He is admitted to practice medicine and law in both New Jersey and New York. He is a Fellow of the American College of Legal Medicine and a Fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine. His undergraduate degree is from the University of Virginia, with postgraduate degrees from New York Medical College and Columbia University School of Law. His medical experience included a surgical internship at Montefiore Hospital and a radiology residency at Westchester County Medical Center.

By understanding both medicine and law, Dr. Leone is able to explain the medical issues to clients and help them understand how the law can assist them. Although the Institute of Medicine estimates that over 98,000 deaths and hundreds of thousands of injuries occur each year as a result of medical malpractice in America, not all bad outcomes are the result of negligence. Separating injuries caused by medical errors from those that are simply unfortunate outcomes is important to uncertain injured victims and their families.

Mindy Michaels Roth is an experienced litigator handling medical malpractice, vaccine compensation claims and other personal injury matters. She is admitted to practice law in the State and Federal Courts of New Jersey and also before the United States Court of Federal Claims. She has handled numerous vaccine-related injury claims pursuant to the National Childhood Vaccine Compensation Act and is an active member of the National Vaccine Information Center, which provides information regarding vaccine-related injuries to children.

Ms. Roth has a deep understanding of Women’s Health and Pediatric issues, both as result of her prior training at the Rusk Institute for rehabilitation and as a mother of two young children. These skills are important in evaluating claims in areas of preventive medicine, such as breast cancer screening and prenatal care.

The firm’s experience includes dozens of medical malpractice trials and their record of success has included verdicts and settlements for children injured during childbirth and by vaccines, failure to diagnose cancer, failure to properly treat infections and failure to treat other significant medical conditions, such as initial heart attacks and strokes that need not have ended in tragedy. The firm has also helped individuals injured by unsafe drugs and medical devices. Their work has even brought them into other significant personal injury matters, such as representing victims of the World Trade Center bombings, defective workplace equipment and dangerous products.

Britcher, Leone & Roth, L.L.C. is committed to achieving successful results for their clients while having an impact on the quality of healthcare available to the public. The firm will serve clients throughout northern New Jersey in the areas of medical malpractice, pharmaceutical product liability, vaccine compensation claims, medical device product liability, automobile negligence, general personal injury litigation and product liability. Their new offices are located at 175 Rock Road in Glen Rock and 7 Century Road in Parsippany.
