Personal Injury

Personal Injury is the area of law concerning injuries to individuals by other individuals’ negligence or negligently designed products. Personal injury law is a general area of law that includes injuries caused by automobile accidents, negligently maintained premises, medical malpractice, dangerous products, unsafe medications and medical devices. While there are significant differences in the types of personal injury cases, they all involve someone’s failure to use proper care when doing something that causes harm.

Individuals and companies have a duty to exercise due care so as not to injure others, whether that be the safe operation of a motor vehicle or providing treatment for a medical condition according to accepted medical standards. When individuals or companies fail to exercise due care and cause injuries to others, claims can be brought for the negligent injuries. It is then up to a jury to decide if an individual or company was negligent in its conduct and whether that negligence cause injury that otherwise would not have occurred in the absence of the negligent conduct.

Whether the injury results from a negligent driving, poorly maintained premises, improper medical care, or improper product safety precautions, protecting your health should be your first priority. Protecting your rights should be your next step. Britcher, Leone & Roth has attorneys experienced in successfully litigating all types of personal injury claim.
