Glen Rock, NJ, and Morristown, NJ (August 20, 2020) – E. Britcher, who co-founded Britcher Leone and is based in the firm’s Glen Rock, NJ, office, is Certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Civil Trial Attorney. Britcher has successfully prosecuted or resolved hundreds of complex medical negligence, products liability and other personal injury claims and has served as either counsel of record or amicus counsel in more than 35 reported decisions of the United States Supreme Court, the Supreme Court of New Jersey and New Jersey Superior Court Appellate Division.

He was also named one of the top 10 attorneys for 2020 by New Jersey Super Lawyers, marking the sixth time that Britcher has been recognized among the Top Ten by New Jersey Super Lawyers. In 2020, New Jersey Super Lawyers also named him to the Top 100 for the 15th consecutive year, and he was also selected as one of Lawdragon’s “500 Leading Plaintiff Consumer Lawyers in America.” AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell®, Britcher has also been named among the “Best of Bergen” by 201 Magazine. In addition, he has received numerous awards for his service to the American Association for Justice, as well as its New Jersey Chapter. In 2015, he was honored with a “Professional Lawyer of the Year” Award by the New Jersey Commission on Professionalism in the Law.

An At-Large National Governor of the American Association for Justice (AAJ) and Executive Committee Member, he has served as Past-President of the New Jersey Association for Justice, where he currently chairs its Amicus and Medical Malpractice Committees and has done so for over a decade. He also helped draft the language of New Jersey’s Patients First and Patient Safety Acts and is an adjunct professor at Seton Hall University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York, as well as before the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. He earned a J.D. from New York Law School and a B.A. from Rutgers College, where he has been inducted as a member of the Order of the Barristers and a Loyal Son, respectively. He is a resident of Parsippany, NJ.

Stephen “Skippy” Weinstein

“Skippy” Weinstein, who is Of Counsel at Britcher Leone and based in the firm’s Morristown, NJ, office, has devoted his practice, which spans nearly half a century, to medical malpractice and personal injury matters, including wrongful death, serious personal injury, brain injury, birth injury, product liability, construction accidents, automobile accidents, and slip and fall accidents. Additionally, he has handled all aspects of criminal litigation and has tried to verdict more than a dozen murder cases. Over 40 of the cases he has handled have resulted in published opinions.

Weinstein was recognized by New Jersey Super Lawyers magazine from 2005 to 2018, including being named among its Top 100 attorneys and its Top 10 in select years. He received the AV Peer Review Rating for Ethical Standards and Legal Ability from Martindale-Hubbell®, its highest ranking of professional excellence. A frequent lecturer at the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education on topics involving demonstrative evidence, no fault insurance, medical malpractice, wrongful death and personal injury cases, he has also lectured at Rutgers Law School and Seton Hall University School of Law. Weinstein is the author of numerous articles on personal injury and criminal law, and he has consistently been sourced by broadcast media outlets.

Admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York and the District of Columbia, he earned a J.D. from American University Washington College of Law and a B.S. from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He resides in Harding Township, NJ.
