Glen Rock, NJ, (April 20, 2015) – Founding partner at Britcher, Leone & Sergio, LLC in Glen Rock, N.J. — E. Drew Britcher — has been named by New Jersey Super Lawyers magazine as among the top attorneys in New Jersey for 2015. Each year, no more than five percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor.
Drew Britcher has made the list for all 11 years since New Jersey Super Lawyers was started. It is also the fourth consecutive year he has been named among the state’s Top 10, and the 10th consecutive year he has been named among the Top 100. As head of the firm’s trial practice, he has successfully prosecuted or resolved hundreds of complex medical, negligence, liability and other personal injury claims. Certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Civil Trial Attorney, he has served as either counsel of record or amicus counsel in more than 30 reported decisions of the United State Supreme Attorney Also Named To Rising Stars List for 2015, the New Jersey Supreme Court and New Jersey Superior Court Appellate Division.
Receiving accolades is not new for Britcher. At the age of 28, he received the Professional Achievement Award from the New Jersey Bar Association, Young Lawyers Division, after obtaining a million-dollar verdict in his first jury trial. Britcher has also been named one of the 500 Leading Lawyers in America by Lawdragon Magazine. In addition, he has received numerous awards for his service to the American Association for Justice and its New Jersey Chapter.
He is a past-president of the New Jersey Association for Justice and has served as the chairperson of its Amicus and Medical Malpractice Committees for over a decade. Britcher is also a member of the Board of Governors for the American Association for Justice.
Britcher was a founding member of the Board of Trial Lawyers Care, an organization that provided pro bono legal representation to victims and families of victims of the September 11th terrorist attacks. He also helped shape the language of New Jersey’s Patients’ First and Patient Safety Acts and is an adjunct professor at Seton Hall Law School, where he teaches courses in medical malpractice law and litigation.
He earned a J.D. from New York Law School and a B.A. from Rutgers College, where he has been inducted as a Loyal Son. He is a resident of Morristown, NJ.
In addition, Associate Kristen B. Miller has been named to the Rising Stars list for 2015. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor.
Miller has been named to the Rising Stars list for three consecutive years, 2013 – 2015. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, with honors, from Lehigh University in 2006. She earned her Juris Doctorate degree in 2009 from Rutgers University School of Law in Newark, NJ. Upon graduating from law school, she clerked for the Honorable Virginia A. Long, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of New Jersey.
Miller is admitted to the bars of the State of New Jersey, the United States District Court, District of New Jersey, and the United States Court of Federal Claims. She joined Britcher, Leone & Sergio, LLC in 2010. She is frequently sought-after to write appellate and amicus briefs before the New Jersey Appellate Division, New Jersey Supreme Court, and the United States Supreme Court. Driven in her quest to hone her trial skills and to become a better advocate for her clients, Miller graduated from the Justice Morris Pashman Inn of Court in 2014. She is an advocate for meaningful and successful pro bono work and community service. In addition, Miller is actively involved nationally with the American Association for Justice (AAJ) as well as the state organization, New Jersey Association for Justice (NJAJ), where she is on their Board of Governors and serves as Co-Chair for the Women Trial Lawyers Caucus.
